FAQs

What is the Community Outreach Program?

The Community Outreach Program is a free program offered by the Parliamentary Protocol and Public Relations branch of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. It is designed to bring educational programming about Ontario’s Parliament into the community. Our experienced educators visit groups of 20 or more in their communities across the province, and lead a two to three hour program about the parliamentary process, the key players and the responsibilities of government.

Who can apply for the Community Outreach Program?

Ontario groups of all ages including elementary and secondary schools, adult groups and organizations, community centers, ESL groups, senior centers and youth groups.

When can you come to my community?

We visit groups in the Greater Toronto Area and within a 2-hour drive (150 kms) of downtown Toronto regularly throughout the year. If you are farther away from the GTA please refer to our Community Outreach Schedule to see when we will be in your area. Once we receive your request online, we will contact you to coordinate an outreach program in your community.
